Bosa Brothers' Mom Urges for Sons' Union with 49ers in Instagram Post

With two children playing in the NFL, Mama Bosa is living the dream of every parent, but this offseason, she may make something even more remarkable.
On her Instagram account on Sunday night, Cheryl, the mother of 49ers edge rusher Nick Bosa and Los Angeles Chargers edge rusher Joey Bosa, pleading with the San Francisco franchise to bring her sons together in the Bay.

"OMG! Do it for Mama," Cheryl wrote, teasing a possible collaboration with a graphic.

But that's not all.

In addition, she uploaded a post to her account with the caption, "The league should be very scared if this happens," along with a picture of Joey with a 49ers jersey placed on top of the Bosa brothers.

Cheryl's role as the supermom of two NFL players would be greatly eased by this, as she has previously had to decide which of her sons' games to attend.

The franchise quarterback Justin Herbert suffered a fractured finger in Week 14, which dealt a terrible blow to the Chargers, who finished the season with a dismal 5-12 record and missed the NFL playoffs.

They quickly turned the page and focused on implementing big improvements for 2024, such as appointing Joe Hortiz as general manager and Jim Harbaugh as head coach.

Joey's future in Los Angeles remains uncertain in light of the new Chargers administration.

Furthermore, the 49ers might be interested if they decide to part with their No. 3 overall draft choice from 2016, since San Francisco has made strengthening their defensive line a top goal this offseason.

The brothers have stated that they would prefer to play opposite one another in the same uniform, but since five players on the 2023 roster—Randy Gregory, Chase Young, Javon Kinlaw, Sebastian Joseph-Day, and Kevin Givens—are eligible for free agency, the 49ers will probably search for less expensive alternatives.

Although San Francisco wouldn't be able to afford to trade for Joey, Los Angeles' decision to remove its four-time Pro Bowl pick could create more opportunities for the Bosa siblings to get together.

Joey has only played in 14 games since suffering many injuries over the previous two seasons. Despite this, he has 30 total tackles (22 solo, 9 for a loss) and nine quarterback sacks with the Chargers.

The 49ers, who recently suffered a devastating loss in Super Bowl LVIII, would undoubtedly become the talk of the NFL if the Bosas joined them. And it would be all Mama Bosa would want for.
